Jaguar confirms its entry in 2016 Formula E

Numerous sources have revealed last week that Jaguar Land Rover was preparing to announce its entry in Formula E in 2016. Although the company remained silent, we can now confirm that, yes, Jaguar Land Rover will be racing in Formula E next year simply as Jaguar.

The company is building an all-new electric vehicle, one that will feature a number of new technologies developed by the company.

JLR is using this as an opportunity to push the boundaries and further the development of its future technologies.

Jaguar is known for its luxurious vehicles so the event will give us a rare opportunity to experience a different side of the brand.

On top of racing in Formula E, the company is also currently working on its very first electric road car. It is not clear when that will happen however some are speculating that it’s going to be next autumn around the same time Jaguar will be racing in Formula E.

The new electric vehicle could elevate the brand to another level and open up a lot of opportunities for the company.

Electric cars continue to grow in popularity, which is why so many companies are choosing to embrace the trend and produce their own electric vehicles.

Jaguar is merely the latest brand to produce an electric vehicle. Car manufacturers have slowly been adapting to the ever-changing world motor industry.
